Welcome To the Robo Hotel

Hotels.

We love ’em when they’re well-designed, but they always seem understaffed. Here, we see an innovative solution. Meet “Yobot” the luggage handler. His digs are the Yotel in midtown NY, and he handles baggage so that hotel staff can expend their effort working with guests:

If guests want to skip the human part entirely, they can do that too. Yotel also has automated check-in kiosks to complement the automated checkouts we’ve all become familiar with.

CNBC also tells us the Aloft in Cupertino has a robot rolling around to deliver room service and other amenities. So, no judgement when you order that late-late-night snack.
